So Marked One, you want a job?

Ya, I've hear those words said many times and in many places. Some good, some bad. I just received a job from Sidrovich, he wants me to track down some Stalker named Nimble and get a flash drive from him. I left his little hole in the ground and entered Cordon, where I would find my contact Wolf. When I got there he informed me that I would have to break out Nimble from a group of bandits that took him hostage at the Car Park. Great, my day just gets better and better. Wolf Told me to meet up with Petruha and they could give me a hand in getting Nimble back.
I had quite a trek to get to the car park, and avoiding herds of boars and packs of dogs is enough to ruin your nerves, but I finally arrived on the hill above it. Petruha was busy scanning the structure for the best plan of action. "Eight bandits inside at least... so how we doing this?", asked Petruha.
"Lets fan out and attack in force", I say.
"Sounds good, boys, lock and load... we got some business to take care of", he said, "keep an eye out for Nimble, we don't want him getting hit in the crossfire."
We moved in from the right. I shielded myself behind a vehicle frame of some sort, watching the hole in the brick wall and the back area of the building. Petruha went straight up the middle firing both barrels and taking down the right hand guard in the window. His two other friends dropped in behind me and fired their sawed-offs over my head. After the dust had cleared I had killed 3 of the bandits and the others had gotten the rest. Sadly, we lost two of the Stalkers in the firefight. Petruha seemed like a nice guy, but he had taken two shots to the gut and faded quickly. He died a hero in my book, and I've seen many heroes die. In this place death is around every corner and you just try to make sure your not surprised by it. We also lost Yarik_Boatswam, he fought with honor and died well also. I never got the other Stalkers name, but he's welcome by my campfire anytime. I spent the last few hours burying the dead, collecting from the bodies and sitting by the fire and having a bite.
On my way back to Sidrovich's hole, it started to rain.I was passing a tunnel so I darted to it for cover. Inside I met Nika Stone, he welcomed me in and waved me to the small fire. Another Stalker was there playing guitar, so I stayed for awhile and listened. The rain pored for what seemed like hours, but the music made the time pass quickly. As the rain slowed and stopped I stood, thanked my hosts for the companionship and bid them goodbye.
I returned to Sidroviches place and gave hime the flash drive, he was overjoyed and told me I had done well. I'm going to rest for tonight and get another job from Wolf or Sidrovich tommorrow.
